Adult Discussion Group
If you haven’t attended before, please join us in an educational endeavor that is lots of fun. Feel free to bring a beverage of your choice and/or a snack to share. We
meet on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 PM.
Confirmation
Our two year confirmation program is offered on Sunday from noon to 1:00pm to students beginning in the 7th grade.
Confirmation serves as a way to help our young people learn how to live faithfully within the covenant of Holy Baptism. Through the program they study scripture, the church and the church year, and Luther's Catechism. Students also participate in worship leadership, youth activities and congregational life activities. Second year students participate in a program of discipleship training, with parents serving as mentors and guides. On Reformation Sunday, those students who have completed the preparation process are confirmed through the rite for Affirmation of Baptism.
Bible Study
Pastor Dan leads a Bible Study on Zoom every Tuesday at 6:30 PM. The current text is the Epistle of 1 Peter. You can get a link to the Zoom session each week by email from the church office.
First Communion
From Pastor Dan:
I would like to offer First Holy Communion to any of the children/grandchildren of our congregation who are seven-years-old or older.
Preparation for receiving the Sacrament would involve a meeting with the children along with parents/grandparents followed by instruction in the meaning of the sacrament.
The children must have been baptized in order to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion. However, if your child/grandchild has not been baptized, we can arrange for baptism prior to receiving Communion.
Advent is coming very soon. This Season of the Church year would be a beautiful time to have a celebration of First Holy Communion.
Please contact me as soon as possible if you and your child/grandchild are interested in receiving the sacrament.
